About Generations Algorithm

This is a pure JavaScript / HTML5 Canvas implementation of the generative differential branching algorithm originally created with Python and PyCairo by Anders Hoff (Inconvergent).

• Spatial Hashing: Divides the 2D space into uniform grid buckets (zones) for lightning-fast O(1) collision checking.
• Differential Divergence: Generation-based formula θ = θ₀ + (1 - (ge+1)⁻⁰˙¹) · N(0, σ) ensures main trunks shoot straight while fine capillaries branch dynamically.
• Sandpaint Shading: Renders stochastic micro-grains along branch paths to create rich, organic stippled textures.
• Interactive Seeds: Click or drag anywhere on the canvas to inject new living growth points in real time!

Keyboard Shortcuts

• Space : Pause / Resume simulation
• S : Step forward 1000 iterations
• Z or Alt+R : Randomize all parameters
• R : Restart simulation with current settings
• C : Toggle controls drawer
• Mouse Wheel : Zoom in / out
